This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Achieve or surpass sales and expense objectives for the assigned territory.
• Create and execute strategies tailored to the designated territory.
• Build and sustain professional relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
• Stay updated on company offerings and pertinent disease states.
• Formulate territory business plans, organize work schedules, set call plans, and prepare for sales engagements.
• Design and implement territory initiatives such as speaker events and symposiums.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive customer records.
• Complete administrative responsibilities accurately and punctually.
• Deliver effective and precise sales presentations to clients.
• Maintain a professional sales demeanor.
• Conduct responsibilities in accordance with relevant regulations, pharmaceutical guidelines, and company policies.
• Participate in regional and national conferences throughout the year.
• A Bachelor's Degree along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Ophthalmology or Neurology is required.
• Alternatively, an Associate's Degree with 5+ years, or 7+ years of demonstrated success in pharmaceutical or industry equivalent experience in Ophthalmology or Neurology may be considered.
• Preferred candidates will have current experience within the territory and possess customer knowledge.
• Experience in selling biologics to specialty physicians in rare disease areas is advantageous.
• A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
• Must be willing to travel locally; some overnight travel may be necessary.
• Proven track record as a top performer is essential.
• Exceptional clinical selling abilities are required.
• Comprehensive understanding of clinical data, products, adjunctive therapies, disease states, market dynamics, and industry trends is crucial.
• Ability to adhere to compliance, company policies, procedures, and pharmaceutical guidelines is necessary.
• Capacity to develop territory business plans and targeted account strategies is expected.
• Strong communication, teamwork, selling, clinical, business, and resource-utilization skills are essential.
