Imaging Service Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on imaging systems within the designated service area.

• Carry out unscheduled maintenance with the assistance of technical support.

• Perform preventative maintenance independently and provide assistance with unscheduled maintenance.

• Install and uninstall products and peripheral equipment.

• Foster effective relationships with field personnel, home office staff, management, and customers.

• Communicate with management to elevate issues and customer concerns.

• Complete expense reports, timecards, work orders, service appointments, start-time records, parts inventory, training, and QA/RA tasks.

• Maintain customer service orders and internal service records in accordance with company policies.

• Engage with customers daily to ensure resolution and follow-up.

• Utilize escalation processes and root cause analysis to address service delivery challenges.

• Accurately and promptly complete all necessary paperwork.

• Manage assigned tools, test equipment, and spare parts, ensuring timely return of parts.

• Uphold and enhance the company's image and reputation.

• Adhere to applicable FDA, ISO 13485, and other regulatory standards.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Area Service Manager.

• Associate's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of one year of relevant field service experience.

• Familiarity with assigned equipment to ensure timely repairs and efficient maintenance.

• Strong active listening and above-average customer service abilities.

• Competent organizational and administrative skills; self-motivated with the capability to maintain paperwork to FDA and company standards.

• Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.

• Capability to operate job-related testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, meters, and diagnostic testers.

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Dependability and the ability to work independently.

• Professional appearance and demeanor.

• Flexibility to work odd hours and occasional overtime.

• Willingness to travel as needed, potentially up to 100% based on business requirements, including overnight and air travel.

• Ability to work in medical, clinical, and construction settings.

• Capability to operate in high magnetic fields of up to 3 Tesla.

• Compliance with U.S. FDA medical device, ISO 13485, and other relevant regulatory requirements.

• Ability to meet vendor credentialing standards for hospital and facility access.
