Ignition Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage client projects spanning various industry sectors with a focus on Information Solutions.

• Deliver initiatives involving MES, tailored software, reporting, IIoT, data collection, and analytics.

• Execute technical projects while upholding deliverables, schedules, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.

• Collaborate with clients to outline and oversee project scope on complex assignments.

• Plan project timelines and work in coordination with Project Managers.

• Implement firm-wide Design Group standards and procedures.

• Engage in councils that oversee and adopt company-wide standards.

• Propel projects to completion while supporting technical direction and execution.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with key client contacts.

• Provide technical guidance to less experienced professionals.

• Assist in enhancing the technical capabilities and growth of the Information Solutions group.

• Travel as necessary for project installations, client meetings, company-sponsored events, training sessions, seminars, forums, and conventions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in developing and delivering software solutions for consumer products, life sciences, and/or industrial sectors.

• Experience in architecting and implementing MES and data collection/reporting systems across various platforms.

• Strong preference for candidates with experience in Ignition, Sepasoft, or custom MES/database development.

• Previous experience as a system integrator is advantageous.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, SQL, JavaScript, and Java is a plus.

• Experience with technologies like Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Git version control, or Figma is beneficial.

• Proven track record of successful client interactions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to engage with all levels of management, clients, and vendors.

• Willingness and ability to travel as required for projects.

• A minimum B.S. in an Engineering field is preferred; other computer or software degrees may be considered based on relevant experience.
