Grant Writer – Remote

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create and submit comprehensive and precise funding proposals and grant applications that adhere to SYHealth quality standards.

• Execute data inquiries and research using both internal and external resources.

• Analyze RFPs, NOFOs, and grant directives to meet requirements related to program design, narratives, budgets, reporting, and funder expectations.

• Work in partnership with department directors to gain insights into proposed programs and projects.

• Act as the internal lead and primary point of contact for assigned grant initiatives.

• Assist in the development of grant budgets and collaborate with the Grant Accounting Manager.

• Keep abreast of SYHealth’s history, structure, objectives, programs, strategic plan, and financial requirements.

• Facilitate planning discussions across various levels of the health center.

• Organize and maintain grant files and associated documentation systematically.

• Engage in trainings, workshops, conferences, meetings, and committees.

• Carry out other related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in grant writing is preferred.

• Experience in a nonprofit organization, community clinic, or other healthcare settings is preferred.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software.

• Familiarity with government and private funding sources and practices.

• Strong grammar and writing abilities.

• Excellent research capabilities.

• Extensive knowledge of information and statistical sources at national, state, and county levels.

• Must fulfill I-9 and application prerequisites.

• Must successfully complete physical, background, and reference checks.

• Must undergo pre-employment PPDs.

• Must comply with all mandated vaccinations and boosters.
