IAM Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer technical expertise to the program manager and key stakeholders regarding enterprise-scale IAM projects and solutions.

• Execute solutions developed by the IAM architect.

• Design, develop, and implement IAM solutions that mitigate risk and enhance resilience.

• Collaborate with professionals in Microsoft Azure, networking, and security architecture.

• Work with vendors to assess, test, and implement new technological solutions.

• Deploy IAM solutions that support PIV/Certificate Based Authentication and FIDO.

• Design and maintain a secure, robust enterprise access management system.

• Enable IAM integration into business applications and third-party services, including SSO using SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.

• Establish organizational structures, naming conventions, and user access roles alongside customers.

• Create processes and workflows for onboarding, user lifecycle management, and privileged access management.

• Support the integration of Enterprise PKI solutions.

• Provide guidance to business stakeholders on IAM best practices.

• Define, enhance, and support Azure Entra ID and Privileged Access Management.

• Identify and implement automation opportunities through scripting, including onboarding and offboarding.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD); Active EOD preferred.

• BA/BS degree with 8 years of relevant experience; or AA degree with 10 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in the identity domain with familiarity in identity management tools.

• Strong understanding of HSPD12 and the implementation of government smart card authentication.

• Expert-level knowledge of authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID, WSO2, and Kerberos.

• Previous experience delivering RBAC solutions for cloud environments like Azure.

• Proficient in scripting and automation, particularly with PowerShell.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure PIM, Access Reviews, Service Principals, Managed Identities, and ABAC.

• Strong expertise in enterprise PKI integration utilizing SCEP and ACME clients.

• Experience in creating technical architecture documentation.
