
Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud Migration Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Spearhead Paramount’s shift from a completely on-premises setup to a hybrid environment utilizing AWS.
• Collaborate closely with the VP of Technology to jointly develop the cloud strategy.
• Take ownership of cloud architecture and the migration pipeline.
• Design and build secure, scalable AWS cloud landing zones.
• Lead the design and execution of workload migration strategies.
• Configure and sustain infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
• Migrate Hyper-V virtual machines to AWS EC2 or container services.
• Assess the migration of legacy workflows to AWS cloud-first technologies.
• Set up Infrastructure as Code deployment standards.
• Design and enforce segmentation for PCI-DSS Level 1 cardholder data environments.
• Implement encryption protocols for data both at rest and in transit across AWS and on-premises environments.
• Align AWS IAM and Windows Active Directory policies with PCI access-control standards.
• Maintain ongoing logging, monitoring, and compliance audit trails.
• Coordinate system maintenance and local migrations in collaboration with the On-Prem Engineer.
• Work together on local hardware access for replication and migration tools.
• Design secure, low-latency network tunnels connecting local sites to AWS.
• Co-develop business continuity plans using Veeam and cloud-native backup solutions.
• Monitor and fine-tune hybrid environments for optimal uptime and performance.
• Optimize cloud expenditure and resource sizing throughout the migration process.
• Aid in decommissioning local hardware as workloads transition to the cloud.
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, with a minimum of 3 years leading AWS cloud migrations.
• Proven track record of building or maintaining PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant infrastructure.
• Demonstrated success in leading technical projects within a team environment.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and Route 53.
• Experience with AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, AWS Config, and IAM policies for PCI compliance.
• Familiarity with AWS serverless architectures, containers, or native analytics.
• Proficiency with AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) or equivalent tools.
• Experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or scripting in Python/PowerShell.
• Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server administration and hosting concepts.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V and Failover Clustering.
• Experience with PureStorage FlashArray and Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Familiarity with Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• One of the following certifications: AWS Certified Security - Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional.
