Hybrid Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop a multi-cloud strategy, target-state architecture, and adoption guidelines for AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI as applicable.

• Create federated identity, single sign-on (SSO), and cross-cloud authorization frameworks.

• Design cross-cloud networking solutions that include transit hubs, private connectivity, and zero-trust methodologies.

• Establish reusable infrastructure-as-code frameworks that abstract cloud-specific implementations when suitable.

• Define strategies for containers, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures across various providers.

• Design data architecture strategies for the movement, residency, and analytics of cross-cloud data.

• Promote multi-cloud observability, security monitoring, and unified policy enforcement.

• Implement FinOps practices across various cloud service providers.

• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning across cloud environments.

• Collaborate with security architects on multi-cloud security frameworks, key management strategies, and KMS practices.

• Advise engineering teams on cloud-agnostic versus cloud-native approaches.

• Create architecture documentation including context diagrams, sequence diagrams, decision records, and reference designs.

• Interact with cloud providers and partners to assess roadmap alignment.

• Keep abreast of developments in multi-cloud platforms and tools, translating advancements into recommendations and adoption strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A minimum of eight years of experience in cloud architecture positions.

• Practical architecture experience with at least two leading cloud providers.

• Profound knowledge of cloud networking, identity, and security across multiple service providers.

• Significant experience with infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code methodologies across clouds.

• Experience in designing federated identity and SSO solutions across cloud platforms.

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, container technologies, and managed cloud services.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Multiple cloud certifications from various providers.

• Proven track record in leading multi-cloud architecture projects.

• U.S. work authorization: U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Must not require a new H-1B visa petition; the employer is unable to sponsor new H-1B visa applications.

• Preferred: Experience with abstraction platforms such as Crossplane, Pulumi, or Terraform CDK.

• Preferred: Familiarity with cloud-agnostic observability solutions.

• Preferred: Experience managing large-scale cloud-to-cloud migrations.

• Preferred: Exposure to regulated industries with multi-cloud requirements.

• Preferred: Public speaking or writing experience on multi-cloud architecture topics.
