HVAC Service Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Analyze fault reports, photographs, and notes from field technicians to determine necessary repairs.

• Identify appropriate replacement parts for various equipment brands and models.

• Source parts and pricing from suppliers, distributors, or manufacturer parts portals.

• Accurately estimate labor time based on the scope and complexity of repairs.

• Prepare and issue precise and clear quotes for both commercial and residential clients.

• Follow up on pending quotes and provide updates on their status.

• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of common commercial and residential HVAC/split-system brands.

• Stay informed about parts numbering, model ranges, and typical failure points.

• Collaborate with field technicians to clarify any unclear or incomplete scope of work.

• Highlight jobs that necessitate a site visit or further diagnosis.

• Keep accurate records of quotes and jobs in SimPro.

• Regularly update supplier price lists and part costs.

• Ensure that quotes align with margin targets.

• Maintain project and client files in OneDrive.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ideally, an ex-HVAC or refrigeration tradesperson, or an individual with substantial hands-on HVAC service experience.

• Strong understanding of service and repair work related to commercial and residential HVAC equipment.

• Familiarity with various HVAC equipment brands and their parts systems.

• Capability to interpret a technician's fault description and translate it into an accurate scope of work.

• Comfortable providing realistic labor time estimates based on the repairs involved.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Proficient computer skills, including experience with Excel and job management software.

• Clear written communication skills for quotes and client-facing correspondence.

• Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English.

• Reliable internet connection is essential.

• A suitable home office setup is required.

• Must own a computer.

• Trade certificate in refrigeration and air conditioning or a related mechanical trade is desirable.

• Experience using manufacturer parts portals or supplier ordering systems is desirable.

• Previous experience in service coordination, estimating, or parts interpretation roles is desirable.

• Familiarity with SimPro is desirable.

• Must disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work.
