HVAC Quality Assurance Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Independently oversee a diverse range of Test and Balance projects, varying in size and complexity.

• Supervise TAB and Commissioning field teams to ensure compliance with procedures and accuracy in testing.

• Request and evaluate mechanical drawings, HVAC submittals, and specifications.

• Build and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and partners.

• Engage in contractor meetings to facilitate project planning and scheduling.

• Manage alterations to project scope, timelines, and budgets utilizing appropriate verification techniques.

• Review air balancing and commissioning reports with engineering teams and contractors to define scopes of work that address site issues or deficiencies.

• Convey findings and recommendations to clients, project engagement managers, and executive teams.

• Oversee projects related to approved recommended solutions.

• Address customer escalations and ensure prompt resolution.

• Provide remote assistance to vendors and contractors during TAB and Commissioning processes.

• Assess surveys for accuracy and alignment with Budderfly standards.

• Hold contractors accountable for effective communication, coordination, installation challenges, and punch list completion.

• Finalize project closeouts and guarantee that documentation and post-surveys are filed, uploaded, and authorized.

• Manage the financial execution of assigned projects within budget constraints.

• Review contractor invoices for precision and supporting documentation.

• Perform additional job-related responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installations.

• Comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems including air balancing, duct design, VAV systems, hydronic systems, and controls.

• NEBB, AABC, or TABB certification preferred.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, or a related field of study.

• Project Management Certification and/or Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification preferred but not mandatory.

• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple concurrent projects with complex inter-dependencies.

• Experience in the energy sector is beneficial but not essential.

• Exceptional problem-solving and customer service abilities.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet demanding deadlines.

• Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Flexibility in working hours is necessary as field crew schedules may vary and include some weekends and late-night work.

• Broad knowledge of project management and operational policies, procedures, and practices.

• Highly developed interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills, both oral and written.

• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
