This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nicaragua.
• Transform engineering ideas into detailed, precise working plans.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and builders to ensure HVAC designs fit within structures and adhere to safety regulations.
• Develop 2D and 3D shop drawings, coordination layouts, and fabrication plans for ductwork, piping, and equipment.
• Align HVAC layouts with architectural, electrical, and plumbing designs to prevent conflicts.
• Update blueprints based on field modifications, site inspections, and engineer feedback.
• Assist in preparing material lists, equipment schedules, and final as-built drawings.
• Ensure that designs comply with local building codes and industry standards such as ASHRAE.
• Generate drawings from provided plans and sketches.
• Deliver timely updates regarding drawing progress and workload.
• Oversee the daily workflow and output of the department, prioritizing and assigning projects.
• Ensure that completed projects meet customer and project specifications.
• Carry out additional job-related tasks as necessary.
• Utilize Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Discord, Hubstaff, WhatsApp, Zoom, AutoCAD, Revit, and PDF Editor in work activities.
• Proficient in English: upper intermediate, advanced, or proficient level.
• Strong and verifiable background in engineering or architecture with relevant experience.
• 2 to 4 years of practical experience in mechanical drafting or HVAC design.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with 3D tools such as Revit or BIM.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Lumion.
• Solid understanding of HVAC components, duct sizing, and piping layouts.
• Associate degree, technical certification, or diploma in drafting, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience and expertise in drafting with Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.
• Professional demeanor and ethical conduct.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to convey information and collaborate effectively with specialized teams.
• Strong self-organization skills and ability to maintain detailed records of tasks, notes, and process updates.
• Capacity to identify, set, and assign priorities.
• Ability to follow directions or specific instructions when necessary.
• Must have a personal computer (laptop/desktop) with internet access.
• Capability to use Hubstaff time tracking software.
• Submission of work samples or a portfolio in PDF format is required.
• A 1.5–2 minute voice note in English detailing relevant experience and previous responsibilities is required.
• Opportunity to work remotely.
• Monthly compensation via Papaya Global or Payoneer.
