This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Establish building automation control systems, which includes custom programming, graphics, and trend analysis.

• Aid in the development and revision of sophisticated sequences of operations to enhance HVAC energy efficiency.

• Evaluate current building automation systems to assist in product selection.

• Perform field surveys to identify types of equipment and capabilities of automation systems.

• Generate Room Ventilation Schedules in accordance with applicable code mandates.

• Offer design insights on alternatives, equipment selections, and pricing considerations.

• Create controls submittal packages, encompassing parts lists.

• Oversee onsite work direction for controls and low-voltage subcontractors.

• Initiate control systems, including trends, graphics, and programming.

• Program advanced sequences of operations for essential infrastructure, such as central plants.

• Spearhead programming and controls implementation initiatives.

• Ensure the completion of pre-functional checklists and commissioning documents.

• Diagnose issues related to control installations and malfunctioning equipment.

• Provide construction administration, document progress, and update design documents.

• Collaborate with other divisions to achieve desired controls outcomes.

• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and associated documentation.

• Offer leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior staff.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency with building automation systems such as JCI, Siemens, Honeywell, Trane, Tridium, Schneider, or others.

• Over 10 years of relevant experience.

• In-depth knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.

• Capability to adhere to deadlines.

• Fundamental planning abilities.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Detail-oriented and prepared to engage with multiple ongoing projects in a dynamic environment.

• Associate's degree in automation, controls instrumentation, or related fields (preferred).

• Journeyman electrician certification (preferred).

• Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time to job sites or office locations.

• Capability to operate in diverse physical and environmental conditions, including climbing, working in confined spaces, prolonged standing/sitting, handling machinery and power tools, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
