HVAC Chiller Journeyman Technician – Traveling Data Center Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Travel to various data center locations on a long-term rotation of 4 weeks on duty followed by 1 week off.

• Engage in the startup and commissioning of new units.

• Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshoot any mechanical and electrical issues.

• Carry out scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling systems.

• Analyze and interpret regulatory guidelines and technical documents, such as blueprints and schematics.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.

• Escalate issues for resolution when required.

• Comply with licensing regulations and operate equipment safely.

• Identify HVAC-related hazards, complete safety training, and apply effective safety protocols.

• Work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.

• Deliver expert service and uphold quality standards as a traveling HVAC service technician.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in the HVAC industry.

• More than 3 years of experience working with centrifugal chillers.

• Capability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs.

• EPA Universal Certification is required.

• Must be able to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended durations, climb ladders, and work on rooftops.

• High School Diploma or GED is essential.

• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and be insurable under the company’s insurance policy.

• Strong knowledge of 19XR, 30CF, and CDU chillers.

• Solid understanding of air-side systems (constant volume, VAV).

• Comprehensive knowledge of water-side systems (hot water, chilled water, condenser water).

• Applicants can be based anywhere in the United States.
