This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Act as a key resource for the development and execution of training strategies.

• Work in partnership with agency leadership, federal partners, research organizations, investigators, and stakeholders to create educational materials and deliver training programs.

• Assess training requirements through stakeholder feedback, compliance assessments, emerging challenges, and community insights.

• Design and lead webinars, workshops, conferences, forums, and virtual learning sessions.

• Ensure adherence to training-related regulatory standards and proactively manage potential challenges.

• Clarify and convey regulatory requirements and agency guidelines to a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Facilitate meetings across various functions.

• Create strategic communications, including training proposals and executive summaries.

• Monitor updates in regulations, emerging research trends, and best practices in the field.

• Track and report on training project developments and assist with schedule adjustments.

• Oversee multiple education and outreach initiatives from their inception through execution and evaluation.

• Identify discrepancies in training services and suggest and apply corrective measures.

• Manage documentation strategies for training initiatives.

• Create and sustain external-facing educational and communication resources.

• Generate reports and presentations that summarize findings, trends, achievements, and recommendations.

• Coordinate cross-functional training efforts and propose enhancements to programs, materials, and delivery methods.

• Operate independently under the long-term guidance of a manager and mentor junior team members.

• Carry out additional job-related responsibilities as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in health or science-related field.

• Over 10 years of pertinent professional experience.

• Proven experience in human subjects research protections, stakeholder engagement, training, and educational outreach.

• Experience in supporting educational and training initiatives related to human subjects research.

• Experience in developing or delivering professional training, educational, or outreach materials related to human subjects research, research compliance, research administration, or regulatory affairs.

• Thorough understanding of human subjects research protections and research ethics, including 45 CFR Part 46 (Common Rule) and associated HHS regulations and guidance.

• Solid comprehension of IRB operations, review processes, compliance programs, and institutional responsibilities.

• Knowledgeable about informed consent requirements, risk-benefit evaluation, and protections for vulnerable groups.

• Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design strategies, and educational technology.

• Strong skills in project planning, organization, and stakeholder management.

• Ability to convert complex regulatory information into accessible educational materials.

• Exceptional attention to detail, capacity to follow instructions, and dedication to quality and compliance.

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.

• Public Trust clearance required.

• Advanced degree (Masters or higher) is preferred.

• Experience in supporting federal agencies, particularly HHS, NIH, FDA, or OHRP.

• Certification in project management, instructional design, research administration, or regulatory affairs is desirable.

• Experience in creating multimedia learning products, including video-based training and e-learning modules.

• Intermediate knowledge of AI tools, including their limitations, risks, and applications in project management.
