Human Resources Generalist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

๐Ÿ“‹ Description

โ€ข Act as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and leaders regarding inquiries related to personnel and programs.

โ€ข Interpret and apply Human Resources policies and programs in accordance with provincial and federal laws, corporate policies, and collective agreements.

โ€ข Utilize Dayforce for effective management of the employee lifecycle, including reporting and analytics.

โ€ข Educate and counsel management on HR technical aspects, processes, and compliance issues.

โ€ข Oversee disability claims management, accommodation requests, and return-to-work procedures.

โ€ข Support and ensure compliance with the Health and Safety program.

โ€ข Contribute to initiatives aimed at process improvement and automation.

โ€ข Assist in maintaining employee documentation, ensuring HRIS data accuracy, and record-keeping.

โ€ข Work collaboratively with the HR team on strategic projects and provide support to the HR Administration team.

โ€ข Undertake additional duties as necessary.


โ›ณ๏ธ Requirements

โ€ข A degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.

โ€ข 3โ€“4 years of proven experience in Human Resources, with exposure to talent acquisition, talent management, disability management, labor relations, and/or HR operations within a national organization.

โ€ข Proven experience working with HRIS systems; familiarity with Dayforce HCM is a plus.

โ€ข Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting information to colleagues and leadership in a professional manner.

โ€ข Highly organized, self-motivated, and attentive to detail.

โ€ข Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team.

โ€ข Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information ethically and professionally.

โ€ข Strong proficiency in computer applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

โ€ข Must possess legal authorization to work in Canada.

โ€ข Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
