This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
β’ Act as the main point of contact for employees and managers concerning HR policies, programs, and everyday HR issues.
β’ Function as a reliable partner to the Director of HR, ensuring the continuity of HR operations and employee support during the Director's absence.
β’ Manage designated HR processes from initiation to completion, coordinating with stakeholders, communicating updates, and identifying potential risks or areas for enhancement.
β’ Oversee the employee onboarding, offboarding, and other lifecycle activities in collaboration with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, IT, Finance, and management.
β’ Assist in performance management, which includes check-ins, focal reviews, goal setting, manager guidance, documentation, and changes in compensation/title.
β’ Coordinate learning and development initiatives and administer the Learning Management System, managing training content, assignments, completion tracking, and records.
β’ Ensure accurate HRIS data, maintain employee records, required documentation, acknowledgments, and HR files; conduct regular audits to support accuracy and compliance.
β’ Promote employee recognition, engagement, and culture initiatives, and take charge of planning and coordinating the annual Company Retreat.
β’ Compose HR communications, employee documentation, policies, procedures, manager resources, and process guides in collaboration with the Director of HR.
β’ Aid in HR reporting and people analytics, including metrics on headcount, turnover, training, performance, and other HR data.
β’ Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment when managing sensitive employee and company information.
β’ Assist with additional HR projects and responsibilities as business needs change.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or at least 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
β’ Minimum of 2 years of progressive HR experience in roles such as HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, People Operations, or a similar capacity.
β’ Solid understanding of HR principles, fundamentals of employment law, and best practices in compliance.
β’ Familiarity with HR policies, employee relations, performance management, benefits, and/or learning and development.
β’ Experience with an HRIS; familiarity with BambooHR is advantageous.
β’ Strong judgment, discretion, communication skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
β’ Capability to independently manage HR processes and prioritize competing tasks with minimal supervision.
