This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, which includes scheduling orientations, processing and auditing I-9 forms, and validating new hire data as well as managing E-Verify cases.
β’ Facilitate the day one orientation and assign required training and tasks for onboarding.
β’ Manage pre-onboarding activities such as conducting background checks, communicating with new hires, notifying departments, handling Jira tickets, and completing pre-onboarding documentation.
β’ Collaborate with IT to ensure the timely delivery or return of equipment.
β’ Support managers in helping new hires acclimate to their roles and complete onboarding checklists and reports for the Accounting department.
β’ Develop and distribute the annual onboarding schedule to managers.
β’ Assist in recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, obtaining approvals, reviewing resumes, utilizing ATS, scheduling interviews, conducting background/reference checks, and drafting offer letters.
β’ Conduct interviews assessing culture fit, competencies, situational responses, and test/assignment performance.
β’ Monitor candidates within the HCM system and send follow-up communication letters.
β’ Administer company-wide annual training sessions, notices, and acknowledgments.
β’ Support health and welfare plan administration and open enrollment when necessary.
β’ Maintain and utilize the HRIS effectively.
β’ Respond to basic employee inquiries and requests.
β’ Organize employee files and generate reports as needed.
β’ Assist with SOC, benefits, and 401k audits.
β’ Contribute to wellness initiatives, team-building activities, and programs that enhance the new hire experience.
β’ Provide backup support to the HR & Payroll Assistant and HR Generalist I.
β’ Perform additional duties as required.
β’ A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant or comparable experience.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
β’ A range of skills developed through extensive on-the-job training or apprenticeship programs.
β’ Specialized technical skills relevant to the industry and job, gained through formal education and practical training.
β’ Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
β’ Completion of SHRM and/or HRCI coursework.
β’ Familiarity with HCM or other relevant software applications.
β’ A foundational understanding of HR principles.
β’ Knowledge of basic California labor laws and fundamental federal employment regulations.
