This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
β’ Act as the main contact for employee relations and human resources issues.
β’ Assist managers with performance-related challenges, coaching, disciplinary measures, and terminations.
β’ Oversee employee policies, procedures, and the content of the handbook.
β’ Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations, including multi-state obligations.
β’ Manage personnel files and HR documentation effectively.
β’ Accurately and promptly process bi-weekly payroll.
β’ Maintain employee information within the HRIS and payroll systems.
β’ Coordinate payroll adjustments, updates on employee status, and necessary reporting.
β’ Aid in the implementation and enhancement of HR technology platforms.
β’ Organize recruiting activities for office, warehouse, and merchandising staff.
β’ Oversee onboarding and orientation programs.
β’ Work in partnership with hiring managers to address workforce planning and staffing requirements.
β’ Ensure that new hire documentation and compliance obligations are completed.
β’ Administer employee benefits programs and manage the annual open enrollment process.
β’ Create job descriptions and processes for performance evaluations.
β’ Foster employee development, coaching, retention, and succession planning efforts.
β’ Investigate and document issues related to employee relations.
β’ Encourage employee engagement and a positive work environment.
β’ Coordinate office operations, manage vendor relationships, organize employee events, and handle general administrative tasks.
β’ Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
β’ Ability to thrive in a team setting and work collaboratively with others.
β’ Strong understanding of HR compliance, labor laws, and employee relations practices.
β’ Capability to provide guidance to managers on performance management and workplace matters.
β’ Exceptional communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
β’ High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
β’ Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
β’ Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with leadership and employees.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in human resources, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
β’ Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources within a Generalist capacity.
β’ Experience in processing payroll and managing employee benefits.
β’ Background in supporting employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance initiatives.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with Rippling HRIS and Payroll.
β’ Preferred: PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or a comparable HR certification.
β’ Preferred: Experience with multi-state employee populations.
β’ Preferred: Background in developing HR processes and performance management programs.
β’ Preferred: Experience in distribution, logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, or family-owned business settings.
