This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide comprehensive support for all aspects of Human Resources and collaborate with the organization on strategic initiatives.
• Maintain and improve clients’ HR policies, programs, and practices.
• Assist organizations with their HR requirements, from full-cycle HR services to project-specific tasks.
• Create and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with clients’ business objectives.
• Develop and oversee HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures that foster client company growth.
• Ensure clients maintain a robust HR infrastructure and adhere to compliance standards.
• Draft and compose employee handbooks and additional company policies.
• Manage FLSA classifications and audits while supporting necessary employee training.
• Prepare clients for due diligence during mergers and acquisitions.
• Implement and manage HRIS, payroll, 401(k), benefits administration, and performance evaluation systems.
• Research, recommend, implement, and manage benefits, including enrollments, terminations, claims resolution, and invoice auditing.
• Assist with evaluations of benefits plans, selection processes, open enrollment planning, 401(k), LOA, and COBRA.
• Recommend onboarding and offboarding procedures and collaborate with PeopleOps HR Support to ensure completion.
• Partner with Payroll to oversee or process payroll for multiple clients.
• Draft parental leave policies and provide employees with LOA packets while ensuring legal compliance.
• Address employee relations inquiries, grievances, and various other issues.
• Design, customize, and implement performance management processes.
• Develop programs aimed at enhancing morale, productivity, and employee recognition.
• Collaborate with managers to resolve issues and prepare corrective action plans.
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in human resources or people operations is required.
• Experience in scaling and supporting companies backed by venture capital and/or private equity is preferred.
• Familiarity with startup HR best practices is essential.
• Strong business acumen coupled with a genuine passion for HR.
• In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws is required.
• Ability to exercise autonomy, independent judgment, and sound decision-making.
• Capable of handling pressure and managing multiple projects with frequently shifting priorities.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism and integrity.
• Ability to handle confidential data and information with professionalism.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and demonstrated initiative, along with a sense of urgency.
• Proficiency in HRIS, Payroll, and Recruiting systems, including Gusto, Zenefits, Namely, Rippling, ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, Intuit, TriNet, Justworks, Sequoia, Greenhouse, and Lever.
• A Bachelor’s degree and/or PHR certification is preferred.
• Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions and knowledge of best practices and processes is preferred.
