This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.
β’ Act as the primary point of contact and a vital advisor to campus leaders and staff.
β’ Deliver hands-on HR assistance across all areas of the organization.
β’ Develop and sustain relationships with employees and leaders to alleviate employee relations challenges.
β’ Collaborate with leadership to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.
β’ Cultivate a positive workplace atmosphere, enhance employee engagement, and facilitate organizational development.
β’ Provide guidance to managers and employees on workplace matters, concerns, and conflict resolution.
β’ Conduct inquiries related to employee grievances, policy infringements, and workplace issues.
β’ Advise on disciplinary measures, corrective action plans, and performance enhancement strategies.
β’ Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, evaluations, and development planning.
β’ Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations and laws.
β’ Interpret and consistently enforce company policies, procedures, and best practices.
β’ Stay informed about evolving employment laws and HR trends.
β’ Assist with audits, investigations, and reporting obligations.
β’ Support organizational functions, meetings, training, and various locations as necessary.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
β’ MBA is preferred.
β’ At least 5β7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally in an HRBP, HR Generalist, or Employee Relations capacity.
β’ Capability to thrive in a remote work setting.
β’ Strong understanding of HR principles, employment law, and employee relations practices.
β’ Experience with CA labor law is required.
β’ Proven experience in managing employee relations issues, conducting investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
β’ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
β’ Strong abilities in conflict resolution, mediation, and coaching.
β’ Ability to influence and establish credibility with leaders and employees at all levels.
β’ Proficiency in using HRIS and Microsoft Office applications.
β’ Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment.
β’ Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
β’ Residents of Southern California and Phoenix only.
β’ Willingness to travel throughout Southern California.
β’ Must be able and willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
β’ Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is preferred.
β’ Experience in supporting multiple locations, states, campuses, or business units is preferred.
β’ Background in higher education, healthcare, workforce development, or service-oriented organizations is preferred.
β’ Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
β’ Capable of independently lifting objects up to 25 lbs.
β’ Adequate hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
β’ Must possess sufficient hearing and speaking abilities to communicate in person or via phone/computer.
β’ Fully remote work arrangement.
