This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Propel Pearce's health, safety, and environmental initiatives across Solar, Energy Storage Systems, UPS, Battery, Wind, and EV operations.

• Collaborate with HSE and Operations leadership to set, track, and accomplish safety objectives and performance metrics.

• Advocate for zero harm, electrical safety, safe work practices, and the prevention of vehicle incidents.

• Mentor operational leaders, managers, supervisors, and field technicians on HSE expectations, electrical safety standards, and driver safety protocols.

• Execute field safety audits, inspections, and observations.

• Detect safety deficiencies and formulate corrective action plans.

• Direct and assist in investigations related to injuries, electrical incidents, vehicle incidents, near misses, and other safety occurrences.

• Conduct root-cause analysis and apply corrective and preventive measures.

• Monitor and report on injuries, illnesses, incidents, corrective actions, and HSE performance indicators.

• Oversee and support the driver safety program aimed at minimizing preventable vehicle incidents.

• Create and present HSE training sessions focused on electrical hazards, safe driving, field safety, and operational risks.

• Develop and revise HSE policies, procedures, training materials, and safety communications.

• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and HSE communications.

• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders regarding HSE requirements and safety expectations.

• Track HSE performance trends and suggest risk-reduction and improvement strategies.

• Support HSE management systems and reporting mechanisms.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, federal, state, and local HSE regulations.

• Travel to project sites and operational locations across the United States for HSE support, training, audits, incident response, and coaching.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE, safety coordination, or a related safety field.

• Ideally, experience in supporting Solar, ESS, UPS, Battery, Wind, EV, electrical, renewable energy, critical power, or similar field-service operations.

• Familiarity with electrical safety practices and hazards associated with electrical and energy-related field operations.

• Background in supporting or managing driver and vehicle safety programs, with a focus on incident prevention and corrective actions.

• Experience in conducting incident investigations, root-cause analysis, field audits, safety inspections, and corrective action tracking.

• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, federal, and state HSE regulations.

• Preference for familiarity with Cal/OSHA requirements.

• Capability to develop, implement, and support HSE programs, procedures, policies, and safety initiatives.

• Experience in creating and delivering safety training for field employees, technicians, supervisors, and operational leaders.

• Ability to analyze HSE metrics and incident trends, converting findings into actionable recommendations and preventive measures.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coach, influence, and build trust with employees and leaders at all levels.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously in a remote and field-based setting.

• Capacity to collaborate with HSE, Operations, customers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel up to 70% within the United States.

• Preferred candidates located in the Midwest States: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, or Wisconsin.
