This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Promote Pearce’s health, safety, and environmental goals across Solar, Energy Storage Systems, UPS, Battery, Wind, and EV operations.
• Collaborate with HSE and Operations leadership to set, monitor, and achieve safety goals and performance indicators.
• Advocate for zero harm, electrical safety, safe work practices, and the prevention of vehicle incidents.
• Mentor operational leaders, managers, supervisors, and field technicians on HSE, electrical safety, and driver safety protocols.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and observations in the field.
• Identify safety deficiencies and create corrective action plans.
• Lead and assist in investigations of injuries, electrical incidents, vehicle incidents, near-misses, and other safety-related events.
• Execute root-cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Monitor and report on injuries, illnesses, incidents, corrective actions, and HSE performance metrics.
• Oversee and support the driver safety program while analyzing vehicle-related incident trends.
• Design and deliver HSE training programs.
• Create and revise HSE policies, procedures, training materials, and safety communications.
• Facilitate safety meetings and toolbox discussions.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders regarding HSE requirements.
• Track HSE performance trends and provide leadership with insights on risks and areas for improvement.
• Assist in HSE management systems and reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and federal, state, and local HSE regulations.
• Travel to project sites and operational locations across the United States for HSE support, training, audits, incident response, and coaching.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE, safety coordination, or a related safety field.
• Familiarity with electrical safety practices and the hazards associated with electrical and energy-related field operations.
• Experience in supporting or managing driver and vehicle safety programs.
• Proven track record in conducting incident investigations, root-cause analysis, field audits, safety inspections, and corrective action tracking.
• Solid understanding of OSHA, EPA, and federal and state HSE regulations.
• Capability to develop, implement, and support HSE programs, procedures, policies, and safety initiatives.
• Experience in creating and delivering safety training.
• Competence in analyzing HSE metrics and incident trends.
• Ability to coach, influence, and establish credibility with employees and leaders at all levels.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Skill in managing multiple priorities and working independently in a remote and field-based environment.
• Capacity to collaborate with HSE, Operations, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% within the United States.
