HSE Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Ensure that the HSE requirements of DIV01 are comprehensively executed by the General Contractor, serving as the HSE ambassador on-site.

• Identify, evaluate, and manage high-risk activities throughout all phases of the project.

• Collaborate with design teams and coordinate proactive safety planning with contractors.

• Monitor and report on Health & Safety KPIs.

• Conduct independent audits of every aspect of construction management.

• Develop and implement structures for HSE management reporting and communication.

• Participate in meetings, training sessions, daily briefings, and management reviews.

• Review and evaluate the health and safety consequences of construction modifications.

• Ensure alignment between HSE planning and actual work conducted on-site.

• Analyze accident, incident, and near-miss reports.

• Assess findings and oversee corrective and preventive actions.

• Foster contractor involvement in structured HSE initiatives and award programs.

• Encourage a culture of positive safety behavior and continuous improvement among all stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior Health & Safety position.

• A formal qualification in HSE management, with specific expertise in the construction sector.

• A degree and/or professional certification in Health & Safety, such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or an equivalent qualification.

• Extensive experience in contractor communication, collaboration with design teams, and coordination with project professionals.

• Comprehensive knowledge of construction HSE management procedures, RAMS, lifting plans, HRA auditing, and compliance frameworks.

• Strong communication and reporting abilities, capable of influencing positive safety behavior and fostering continuous improvement.

• Proficiency in both German and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
