This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Provide respectful and compassionate service to colleagues via case management and phone interactions.
• Address cases while adhering to established SLA standards.
• Document issues and case notes utilizing case management technology.
• Address HR inquiries concerning benefits administration, HRIS systems, and policy interpretation.
• Assist with escalations and facilitate warm transfers or direct connections between colleagues and leaders.
• Recognize and implement improvements in processes.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with health ministry partners and Centers of Expertise.
• Manage intricate cases and offer mentorship to peers.
• Administer qualifying life events such as birth, adoption, guardianship, marriage, divorce, legal separation, and dissolution of partnership.
• Handle employment-related benefit actions, including onboarding for new hires/rehired employees, status changes, dependent documentation, open enrollment, and transfers.
• Manage eligibility cases, ACA assessments, enrollment, and verification requests.
• Assist in planning, appeals, and processing for Open Enrollment.
• Coordinate with ministries, boards, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate Paid Time Off business processes and employee transitions.
• Utilize Workday benefits administration and HRIS knowledge to evaluate downstream effects.
• Analyze and verify data using Excel.
• Achieve or surpass SLA, KPI, and productivity goals.
• Provide peer training, shadowing, and support on benefits transactions.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–3 years of prior experience in benefits or shared services, or comparable experience in place of a degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems or direct experience with Workday.
• Intermediate skills in Excel.
• Advanced understanding of Workday benefits administration and HRIS processes.
• Capability to manage moderately complex benefit transactions and changes related to life events.
• Preferred: CEBS, HCI, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification.
• Preferred: Knowledge of vendor management, UKG, and case management systems.
• Support for benefits administration, including qualifying life events, open enrollment, ACA eligibility and enrollment, PTO processes, adoption reimbursement, and LOA 365 benefit management.
• Processes for Paid Time Off, including PTO payouts and cash outs.
• Adoption reimbursement.

• Opportunities for peer training, shadowing, and guidance.
