This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee the complete delivery of HR, payroll, and HRIS transformation initiatives from initiation and discovery through to testing, go-live, hypercare, and transition to standard operations.
• Develop and manage integrated project plans that encompass client, vendor, system-integrator, and Silver Cloud activities.
• Take ownership of project governance, which includes maintaining RAID logs, tracking actions, decisions, dependencies, change control, status reporting, and milestone management.
• Control scope, budget, resources, timelines, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define roles, responsibilities, escalation paths, and decision-making frameworks.
• Organize project boards, steering committees, governance forums, and executive updates.
• Recognize risks and issues, create mitigation strategies, and drive actions to resolution.
• Assist in programme recovery if delivery is not on track.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with senior HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Align programme activities with the broader business and transformation objectives of clients.
• Facilitate workshops, planning sessions, decision-making forums, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Simplify complex project information into clear updates for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Offer independent advice and challenge decisions constructively to enhance client outcomes.
• Coordinate HRIS vendors, implementation partners, client workstream leaders, and Silver Cloud specialists.
• Supervise readiness across data migration, integrations, testing, parallel payroll, training, communications, and go-live activities.
• Assist in the adoption of future-state processes and ensure effective transition to standard operations.
• Maintain forecasts and visibility regarding project health, financials, resources, milestones, and scope.
• Identify and manage commercial risks while implementing change control measures.
• Contribute to account growth, proposal development, scoping, and engagement mobilization.
• Coordinate efforts among consultants, technical experts, client teams, vendors, and third-party partners across various workstreams.
• Provide guidance, coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to team members.
• Facilitate organizational change, readiness, and measures of transformation success.
• Conduct lessons learned sessions to refine Silver Cloud's methodologies, templates, tools, and quality standards.
• Ensure clients achieve their business, technology, and transformation objectives while integrating new systems and practices.
• Demonstrated experience leading intricate projects or programmes throughout the entire delivery lifecycle.
• Extensive experience in HR, payroll, HRIS, or people-technology transformation.
• Experience managing HRIS, payroll, or enterprise-system implementations from either the client side, consultancy side, or within professional services.
• Strong understanding of the interdependencies among business processes, data, integrations, testing, change, training, and operational readiness.
• Proven ability to collaborate with technology vendors, system integrators, internal specialists, and senior business stakeholders.
• Robust project governance, planning, change-control, risk-management, and reporting skills.
• Commercial acumen, including experience with budget management, forecasting, scope, and project financials.
• Confidence in facilitating steering committees and effectively communicating programme health to executive stakeholders.
• Capability to constructively challenge, resolve ambiguity, and maintain progress in complex delivery environments.
• Experience in leading remote, cross-functional, and multi-party teams.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, clients, or workstreams while ensuring quality delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative, low-ego leadership approach and a willingness to share knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail with a practical, outcome-oriented mindset.
• Confidence in working independently within a remote-first consultancy setting.
• Willingness to travel to client and team locations across the UK as needed.
• Desirable: Familiarity with HRIS, HCM, payroll, or workforce-management platforms.
• Desirable: Experience in delivering global or multi-country HR and payroll programmes.
• Desirable: Knowledge of HRIS selection, project readiness, digital assessment, or programme-recovery engagements.
• Desirable: Experience in supporting presales, statement-of-work creation, solution scoping, or account growth.
• Desirable: Familiarity with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or ClickUp.
• Desirable: Possession of PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, APM, or equivalent project-management certification.
• Desirable: Experience mentoring other project managers, consultants, or workstream leads.
