This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main point of contact for employees and managers regarding employee relations, offering guidance and ensuring consistent HR assistance.
• Oversee the complete employee lifecycle across the US and Canada, which includes background checks, pre-boarding, onboarding, offboarding, exit interviews, I-9, and E-Verify processes, while ensuring compliance and a positive employee experience.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, and Legal to process promotions, bonuses, employment verification letters, and contract extensions.
• Ensure accurate HR administration and documentation throughout the entire HR cycle, including HRIS (BambooHR), personnel records, and internal Wiki content.
• Regularly update and maintain US and Canadian employee handbooks to align with local labor law requirements.
• Manage US and Canadian immigration cases alongside attorneys to support internal and international mobility while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Execute global HR programs locally and develop as well as maintain local HR policies and processes in accordance with labor law requirements.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Legal teams on compensation changes, invoicing, budget approvals, audits, and compliance-related tasks.
• Engage in employee engagement initiatives and local HR projects, including office events, team building, and Local All-Hands meetings.
• Work closely with the People Partner team to enhance operational efficiency, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with various functions such as Recruiting, IT, Payroll, Finance, and Legal to provide a seamless employee experience across the US and Canada.
• Strong knowledge of US employment law, specifically regarding termination practices, compliance requirements, and employee documentation standards.
• Practical experience managing the entire employee lifecycle in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Proficient in HRIS and ATS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Pinpoint, Checkr, JIRA, or similar platforms).
• Comprehensive understanding of onboarding, offboarding, background checks, and HR compliance processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with the confidence to interact with employees at all levels.
• Proven track record of handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, international, and highly operational HR environment.
• At least 2 years of professional experience as an HR People Partner/HR Generalist, preferably in the Tech industry.
