This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Deliver both proactive and reactive coaching, along with consultative human resources advice and services to Assurant employees from the initial intake to resolution.
β’ Advise managers and employees regarding performance development and improvement scenarios.
β’ Establish and nurture productive working relationships with managers and People Business Partners.
β’ Assist with hiring and staffing processes, which includes interviewing, assessment, selection, compensation management, and the development of job descriptions.
β’ Support initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement, including action planning, team meetings, and follow-up activities.
β’ Offer performance coaching and take part in meetings between employees and managers.
β’ Guide managers on the interpretation of policies, exercising judgment and discretion.
β’ Provide training and education for managers on topics such as FMLA, union avoidance, wage and hour regulations, accommodations, and more.
β’ Collaborate with managers and leaders during both voluntary and involuntary terminations as well as reductions in force.
β’ Facilitate comprehensive reduction-in-force processes.
β’ Conduct regular inquiries, research, and investigations.
β’ Engage in projects as identified by the People Organization leadership.
β’ Document and manage cases using NeoCase/ERIN.
β’ Utilize Workday, Peakon, ERIN, and other tools to analyze client group data and enhance performance.
β’ Suggest enhancements to Knowledgebase content and analytics.
β’ Work in conjunction with the People Experience Center to ensure that escalated concerns are addressed swiftly, consistently, accurately, and appropriately documented.
β’ A Bachelorβs degree in a relevant field with at least 1 year of experience in an HR professional capacity, or a minimum of 4 years of experience in an HR professional role or in managing teams.
β’ Proven experience in coaching and advising employees at all levels regarding performance, organizational change, employee engagement, and interpersonal relationships.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, EEO, and other relevant employment-related regulations.
β’ Desired skills include strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
β’ Experience in handling employee-related investigations and writing summary reports.
β’ At least 1 year of HR support experience for a workforce comprising a minimum of 250 employees.
β’ Preferred certifications include PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
