This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Regional Directors and leadership teams to create and implement regional people strategies.

• Offer strategic HR guidance on business planning, organizational development, workforce transformation, and growth initiatives.

• Integrate people considerations into regional decision-making and operational strategies.

• Analyze workforce data, trends, and insights to pinpoint organizational risks, opportunities, and targeted interventions.

• Lead and assist in organizational changes, restructures, acquisitions, contract mobilizations, and TUPE transfers.

• Coach, mentor, and constructively challenge leaders to enhance their confidence and effectiveness in people management.

• Enhance capabilities in performance management, attendance, wellbeing, employee relations, talent development, and colleague engagement.

• Identify gaps in leadership capabilities and implement practical, measurable development strategies.

• Design and facilitate leadership workshops, management training sessions, and development interventions.

• Encourage manager accountability and ownership in leading, developing, and engaging their teams.

• Provide expert advice on complex employee relations issues and ensure adherence to employment laws and organizational policies.

• Work alongside specialist People colleagues to mitigate legal, employee relations, financial, and reputational risks.

• Lead and support activities related to workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management.

• Drive colleague engagement initiatives and convert feedback into clear, actionable steps.

• Assist in establishing a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture that reflects EMED values and behaviors.

• Foster relationships with operational leaders, senior stakeholders, employee representatives, and trade unions.

• Influence senior-level decisions through clear guidance, professional expertise, and constructive challenges.

• Represent the People Function in Regional Leadership Team meetings and operational forums.

• Support client presentations, bids, contract mobilizations, and business development activities.

• Travel frequently within the designated region and spend time in operational settings.

• Attend regional and national meetings, leadership events, workshops, and project activities.

• Success will be measured through agreed objectives, including the delivery and impact of regional people plans.


⛳️ Requirements

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or higher, or equivalent professional experience.

• Substantial experience as an HR Business Partner in a complex, multi-site organization.

• Proven track record of strategic business partnering with senior operational leaders.

• Strong background in coaching and leadership development, with evidence of enhancing management capabilities.

• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and best practices in employee relations.

• Experience in leading and supporting organizational change and transformation initiatives.

• Demonstrated commercial awareness and ability to align people priorities with business outcomes.

• Experience in a unionized work environment.

• Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

• Capability to interpret people data and translate insights into practical, targeted actions.

• Chartered CIPD membership is desirable.

• Experience in healthcare, emergency services, logistics, transport, or another operationally intensive sector is desirable.

• Familiarity with supporting large, geographically dispersed workforces is desirable.

• Experience with TUPE transfers, bids, and contract mobilization activities is desirable.

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the designated region, attend meetings and events, and occasionally stay overnight.
