This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia, +3 more countries.
• Manage the complete employee lifecycle for the internal team, encompassing hiring strategies, onboarding, retention, offboarding, and conducting exit interviews.
• Lead and mentor the Recruiter, focusing on setting priorities and planning capacity.
• Oversee the establishment of contractual and labor law requirements across 9 countries, which includes contracts, addendums, B2B frameworks, and independent compliance decisions.
• Take responsibility for the monthly payroll process across CZ, SK, and PL in collaboration with external payroll partners.
• Revamp non-scalable HR processes and implement automation using AI, Make, or similar tools.
• Develop and monitor people metrics based on internal data.
• Assist leadership and support the expansion into new markets and setups regarding people-related issues.
• Manage and address employee concerns, difficult conversations, conflicts, exits, and support needs.
• A minimum of 4 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within an international company comprising 50 to 200 employees.
• Practical experience with employment and B2B contracts, addendums, onboarding and offboarding procedures, and recruitment.
• Ability to make independent labor law judgments in at least one CEE jurisdiction (CZ, SK, or PL), including contract drafting and making routine legal decisions without needing legal counsel.
• Demonstrated experience in creating automations using Make or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) like Workable.
• Regular daily usage of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for drafting, analysis, and reporting purposes.
• Experience in developing or revitalizing HR processes from start to finish and taking ownership of the outcomes.
• Skilled in managing difficult conversations, providing employee support, and challenging managers when necessary.
• Proficiency in English at the C1 level, both written and spoken, including in leadership and board contexts.
• Native or fluent in Czech, Slovak, Polish, Hungarian, or Romanian.
• Experience working in a scale-up environment characterized by incomplete processes, shifting priorities, limited budgets, and a lack of a dedicated team.
• Background in a remote company operating both B2C and B2B models (preferred).
• Experience with payroll or contractor setups in HU, RO, or other CEE markets beyond CZ/SK/PL (preferred).
• Experience supporting physical locations while collaborating with a fully remote team (preferred).
