This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Align business goals with employees and management within designated business units.
• Develop partnerships across HR to provide value-added services to both management and employees.
• Maintain an understanding of the business unit’s financial status, strategic plans, culture, and competitive landscape.
• Ensure ongoing communication with the relevant business units.
• Consult with the management of assigned hotels while offering HR guidance.
• Analyze trends and metrics alongside the HR team to create solutions, programs, and policies.
• Manage and resolve intricate employee relations challenges.
• Conduct thorough, effective, and objective investigations.
• Stay informed about legal requirements and collaborate with the legal department as necessary.
• Offer performance management support, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
• Enhance workplace relationships, morale, productivity, and employee retention.
• Provide guidance and interpretation of HR policies.
• Advise on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
• Identify training and executive coaching needs.
• Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs.
• Conduct quarterly HR audits at the assigned hotels.
• Coach and mentor other roles and hotel properties as assigned.
• Perform additional related duties as required.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Working knowledge across various human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and applicable federal and state employment laws.
• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential, or the ability to obtain certification within one year of hire.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in the hotel industry is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and apply relevant laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
• Capacity to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s structure, roles, qualifications, compensation practices, and related administrative processes.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven record of meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.
• Must be capable of sitting for extended periods and lifting up to 15 pounds.
