This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Investigate and address urgent production issues raised by the Success, Support, Project, or Account Management teams.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for data corrections, imports, exports, and reporting improvements.
• Conduct root-cause analysis on transactional data, logs, and system behaviors.
• Analyze and comprehend the PHP/Symfony codebase to troubleshoot problems and verify system logic.
• Create and execute custom PHP and SQL scripts for bulk updates, data migrations, or exports.
• Safely deploy fixes using internal tools like Phing, including rollback plans when necessary.
• Collaborate with Support, Success, Account Management, Core, and other cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and validate solutions.
• Thoroughly document fixes in Jira, detailing logic, risks, and testing procedures.
• Participate in Hotfix sprint planning, standups, and reviews.
• Maintain and enhance Hotfix workflows, documentation, and best practices.
• Provide proactive updates on ticket progress, risks, and obstacles.
• 2–4 years of experience in software development, technical support engineering, or a developer-facing technical position.
• Strong SQL proficiency, encompassing queries, updates, imports/exports, and data validation.
• Solid grasp of debugging and troubleshooting transactional or log-based systems.
• Proficiency in PHP and familiarity with the Symfony framework.
• Experience with Git workflows and deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with MySQL Workbench, Docker, and Graylog or similar logging tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work efficiently under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, particularly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in building or maintaining exports, reporting tools, or custom client scripts is a plus.
• Familiarity with ACH processing is a plus.
• Previous client-facing support, success, or technical troubleshooting experience is a plus.
• Experience documenting technical fixes for non-technical audiences is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
