This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create precise loan documents based on the terms and conditions outlined in the Underwriting Approval, adhering to product and document specifications.

• Examine and confirm lock information and the final fee sheet for accuracy.

• Conduct compliance assessments to ensure loans adhere to relevant regulations.

• Evaluate loans for compliance with RESPA, RESPA tolerances, TILA, and MDIA.

• Review finalized documents for precision before sending them to title/escrow or branch locations for member signatures.

• Ensure that loan documents are produced within required turnaround times, meet production targets, and uphold quality standards.

• Stay updated on relevant trends and standards in the mortgage industry and credit union sector.

• Relay information to Home Loan Advisors, internal teams, and closing agents.

• Monitor and address quality control concerns regarding relevant loan files.

• Prioritize tasks within the document-drawing department as volume fluctuates.

• Perform duties in alignment with Golden 1's performance competency criteria.

• Carry out additional assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is mandatory.

• A minimum of one year of relevant document drawing experience in a financial or mortgage banking environment is required.

• Strong comprehension of mortgage products, regulatory obligations, and closing procedures.

• Capability to generate precise, high-quality loan documentation.

• Familiarity with state and federal laws and regulations concerning credit union compliance, including BSA, RESPA, TILA, and AML legislation.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, address quality concerns, and work collaboratively with Home Loan Advisors, closing agents, and internal colleagues.

• Must meet background screening criteria as specified by the Federal Credit Union Act.
