Home Care Worker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Deliver home assistance services that encompass general housekeeping and bed-making.

• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning, mopping, and vacuuming floors.

• Handle laundry tasks, including washing, folding, and ironing.

• Prepare nutritious meals and manage grocery shopping.

• Assist clients with getting out of bed, showering, and dressing.

• Aid clients with their medication schedules.

• Support clients in achieving their mobility and therapy objectives.

• Provide specialized care for individuals with extensive needs, including those with dementia.

• Offer social and emotional encouragement to clients.

• Transport clients to social activities or appointments.

• Provide respite care for family caregivers.

• Operate independently, resolving everyday issues while seeking managerial support when necessary.

• Ensure safe, personal, and effective care for aged care clients in their residences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience as a Carer, Support Worker, or in a similar capacity within Aged Care and/or Disability support.

• Certificate III is not mandatory; practical experience is valued.

• A valid Australian Driver's Licence is essential.

• Possess a personal, insured, and roadworthy vehicle.

• Minimum of 3 months of experience in a comparable role.

• Familiarity with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medication management.

• Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required.

• Completion of a Statutory Declaration, National Police check, Working Rights check, and a pre-employment functional assessment is necessary before starting.
