This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the HMDA data quality lifecycle, which includes regular reviews of the Loan/Application Register, preparation for quarterly and annual filings, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of reports.
• Detect data quality problems and their underlying causes, collaborate with business teams on corrective measures, and track remediation until resolution is achieved.
• Develop and uphold a risk-based HMDA sampling and quality assurance program for a second-line challenge of business-owned reporting data.
• Conduct and support geographic analyses of lending trends to uncover potential redlining and other Fair Lending risks.
• Collaborate with Product Compliance, Fair Lending, Model Risk, and business teams to define responsibilities, enhance controls, and foster uniform data quality practices.
• Utilize automation and Generative AI judiciously to enhance sampling, detect anomalies, analyze trends, and document processes while ensuring human oversight for regulatory interpretation and reporting decisions.
• Minimum of 4 years of direct experience in reviewing HMDA Loan/Application Register data and applying HMDA data integrity, geocoding, and reporting standards.
• Proven experience in preparing, reviewing, or assisting with quarterly and annual HMDA submissions within a regulated lending or financial services context.
• Expertise in conducting root cause analyses of compliance or regulatory data issues and coordinating remediation efforts with business or operational teams.
• Solid understanding of Fair Lending regulations, including the Equal Credit Opportunity Act/Regulation B and the Fair Housing Act.
• Experience with compliance testing, quality assurance, monitoring, or other second-line oversight related to regulated lending data.
• Familiarity with geographic or redlining analysis to support Fair Lending monitoring efforts.
• Experience in developing or enhancing risk-based sampling methods, quality control programs, or compliance monitoring frameworks.
• Strong capability to collaborate across compliance, product, model risk, and business teams to address data quality and regulatory challenges.
• Proficiency in using scripting, analytics, automation, or Generative AI tools to enhance regulatory data reviews and identify unusual patterns.
• Ability to convert regulatory requirements and analytical insights into clear documentation and actionable recommendations.
• Willingness to work across East and West coast time zones.
