This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +2 more states.
• Contribute to the Company’s customer-focused business model as an essential member of the Customer Team.
• Recognize and assess customer requirements.
• Assist in pull-through efforts related to customer strategy.
• Effectively communicate product information in a relevant and meaningful way to individual customers.
• Tailor conversations and client engagements based on customer requirements.
• Participate in knowledgeable product discussions with healthcare professional clients.
• Act as the primary liaison for select customer accounts.
• Meet with key customers and personnel to gain insights into practice structures, business models, influencers, and network frameworks.
• Identify business prospects and collaborate with the customer team to formulate customer strategies.
• Aim for improved health outcomes for healthcare professionals and patients.
• Provide input on resource allocation decisions.
• Select programs and services from the resource library to meet customer needs.
• Maintain and disseminate current account and network information to relevant stakeholders.
• Influence beyond the designated geographic area or product line.
• Utilize technological tools and various channels to engage with customers.
• Fulfill all responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
• Position the Company’s HIV products against competitors for the appropriate patient demographics using approved resources.
• Analyze market trends and proactively suggest actions for future business requirements.
• Pose strategic questions to comprehend customer healthcare needs and leverage insights to formulate tailored business strategies.
• Identify customer and market segments, industry conditions, and Specialty Pharmacy opportunities.
• Oversee the entire Virology product portfolio through opportunity prioritization, customer segmentation, targeting, and business analysis.
• Explain the complexities of the HIV payer environment and the roles of stakeholders in product accessibility.
• Develop and implement account plans with Virology Account Team stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Community Liaisons, IDS executives, District members, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Establish and nurture relationships with hard-to-reach customers in a “no sample” environment.
• Approach with a business-owner mindset amidst changing business cycles and flexible matrix configurations.
• Cover the Silver Spring, Maryland territory and surrounding areas, including Silver Spring, Bethesda, Columbia, Annapolis, Fredericksburg, Northern Virginia-Fairfax, Alexandria, and Leesburg.
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of Sales experience OR a high school diploma with at least 6 years of equivalent experience.
• Valid Driver's license is required.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory for customer visits and national sales meetings/conferences.
• Preferably, a minimum of two years of experience in account management or sales with Infectious Disease customers.
• Experience with HIV products and/or product launches is preferred.
• Specialty sales experience in multiple specialty markets is preferred.
• Background in pharma, biotech, or medical device sales is preferred.
• Proven experience in developing and executing plans to engage customers and meet their needs.
• Proficient in establishing, nurturing, and maintaining relationships.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry where compliance with laws and policies is critical.
• Account experience in complex hospital systems, teaching institutions, and community hospitals.
• Ability to identify account interdependencies and build partnerships with key stakeholders and departments.
• Familiarity with complex payer environments, particularly pharmacy stakeholders.
• Experience in engaging with scientific thought leaders and cultivating advocates across an adoption continuum.
• Capability to build customer relationships in challenging or “no sampling” environments.
• High level of business acumen and account management expertise.
• Current connections with key opinion leaders within designated accounts are preferred.
• Strong leadership, planning, organizational skills, self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to understand and communicate complex information.
• Understanding of ethics, integrity, and working within a highly compliant environment.

• Willingness to travel 75% of the time.
