HIM Ambulatory Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Facilitate discovery, document workflows, develop processes, gather business requirements, train clinics, and follow up on HIM-related functions and standards.

• Assist in the analysis, development, and execution of HIM-related functions and standards for clinics and outpatient departments.

• Act as a subject matter expert on HIM content, processes, and procedures.

• Collaborate with Medical Group Clinics and outpatient departments on the education, implementation, and governance of HIM standards.

• Deliver training and conduct audits on HIM standards and associated HIM functions.

• Provide reports and feedback to clinics and clinic leadership regarding HIM standards.

• Partner with clinic operations to ensure compliance with HIM standards.

• Offer operational and implementation support for clinic acquisitions and new facilities.

• Gather and document business requirements and needs.

• Work with HIM Systems Analysts to implement identified business necessities.

• Serve as a liaison between business departments and groups while managing stakeholder engagement.

• Maintain documentation for projects, processes, and operations.

• Monitor HIM processes and suggest improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Health Information Management or an Outpatient Clinic environment is mandatory.

• RHIT/RHIA Certification is preferred.

• An Associate degree in Health Information Technology or a Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Informatics, or a related healthcare field is preferred.

• Proven proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, is required.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential.

• Willingness to travel is necessary.

• Must be prepared to travel for this fully remote position.

• Capability to sit for extended periods.

• Manual dexterity is required to handle complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.

• Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to quickly and accurately understand spoken information, needs, and issues.

• For roles that require driving: ability to operate a vehicle and interpret signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
