High Voltage Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Adhere to all relevant safety and environmental guidelines and regulations.

• Acquire knowledge in high-voltage cable installation by pulling cables through conduits or laying them in open trenches.

• Uphold the quality-sensitive standards necessary for high-voltage cables.

• Learn methodologies for preparing HV cables.

• Secure cables at manholes and termination structures using clamping devices, ensuring proper spacing, dimensions, and orientation.

• Conduct pre-, post-laying, and commissioning JIT (jacket integrity test) on high-voltage cables under the supervision of a Senior HV Technician.

• Interpret single-line and bonding diagrams.

• Install bonding systems, including link boxes (SVL or DG), under the guidance of a Senior HV Technician.

• Assist in the reception, inspection, packaging, and shipping of HV accessories and components.

• Continuously enhance trade skills through training and workshops.

• Help maintain installation equipment, tools, and facilities.

• Collaborate with the team to complete projects within budget and on schedule.

• Capability to learn electrical and mechanical principles and implement practical skills.

• Ability to learn how to repair, replace, install, and commission HV Cable Systems.

• Capacity to work collaboratively within a team and complete projects in accordance with budgetary and scheduling constraints.

• Must achieve certification from at least one accessory manufacturer within one year.

• Ability to learn HV cable preparation methodologies.

• Capability to learn pre-, post-laying, and commissioning JIT (jacket integrity test) on high-voltage cables.

• Ability to interpret single-line and bonding diagrams or a willingness to learn.

• Capability to install bonding systems, including link boxes (SVL or DG), or a willingness to learn.

• Willingness to participate in necessary training and workshops to maintain and enhance trade skills.
