This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Deliver targeted high school English curriculum content in a virtual setting
• Facilitate dynamic and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences
• Tailor learning and differentiate instruction based on students' mastery levels
• Enhance course materials utilizing suitable asynchronous and synchronous tools under the guidance of principals and coaches
• Track student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system
• Manage the grade book and uphold student academic integrity
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion
• Notify administrators about concerns related to student performance and progress
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments
• Build and sustain positive relationships with families
• Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents promptly
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues
• Collaborate with teachers to analyze student data and utilize it for instructional decision-making
• Engage in necessary travel for professional development, student assessments, and other school-related activities
• Bachelor’s degree
• Active Oklahoma state teaching license / Oklahoma High School English Teaching Certification
• Ability to pass the required background check
• Must reside in Oklahoma
• Capability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week
• Ability to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during work hours
• Flexibility to work school hours, typically 9–5 or 8–4, or as specified by the school
• Willingness to travel as needed, averaging once a month and/or approximately 20% of the time
• Experience working with the targeted age group
• Experience assisting adults and children in utilizing technology
• Experience teaching in an online environment and/or in a traditional classroom
• Familiarity with online learning platforms
• Ability to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to swiftly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
• Capability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
• Primarily work from home
