High School Math Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver targeted high school math curriculum content in an online setting.

• Provide instruction, support, and guidance while overseeing the learning process.

• Tailor learning experiences and differentiate instruction based on student proficiency.

• Facilitate both synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities.

• Track student progress through Stride K12's learning management system.

• Manage the grade book and make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.

• Notify administrators about any concerns related to student performance and progress.

• Prepare students for significant standardized assessments.

• Build and sustain positive relationships with families.

• Communicate and respond to students and learning coaches/parents promptly.

• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom issues.

• Travel as necessary, averaging once per month or approximately 20% of the time, for professional development, student testing, and school events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Math (7-12) state teaching certificate/license is required.

• Must meet Texas residency requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree is necessary.

• Active state teaching license required.

• Ability to pass required background checks.

• Capacity to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.

• Ability to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during work hours.

• Proficient in interpreting and generating numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data.

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and educational platforms.

• Maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
