High School Math Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Provide both asynchronous and synchronous instruction in whole-group, small-group, and one-on-one settings.

• Ensure timely completion of grading, lesson preparation, and communication with students and parents.

• Collaborate with fellow educators and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to create and update Personal Learning Plans, assess scores, give feedback, and enhance instructional methods.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned courses and a general awareness of the K-12 curriculum.

• Analyze curriculum and develop alternative methods to boost student comprehension.

• Assist students and parents with alternative strategies, assignments, and projects.

• Regularly communicate with parents and students via the Learning Management System and telephone.

• Keep accurate student records and data, including cumulative files, online information, attendance, and communications.

• Design enrichment activities and program adjustments in collaboration with teachers, staff, and leadership.

• Work with the Engagement and Counseling Departments regarding communications, student progress, and objectives.

• Support Individualized Education Plans for the courses assigned.

• Establish and maintain an online school community.

• Organize social activities and relevant student field trips; incorporate these trips into the curriculum and participate in events.

• Engage in organizing and administering State Assessments and other school events.

• Participate in student recruitment sessions and marketing initiatives requiring teacher representation.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach Middle School and/or High School in Pennsylvania.

• Residency in Pennsylvania is required.

• Endorsements in English Learner (EL) or multiple subject areas are advantageous.

• Experience in a cyber learning environment is a plus.

• Strong technological skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

• Highly organized and punctual.

• High level of flexibility and adaptability.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated history of being a team player.

• Willingness to travel for state testing, school, and marketing events, which may include overnight stays.

• Availability to work occasional evening hours as needed to support students and families.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting.

• Two-step authentication will be required to set up login for all systems upon being offered the position.
