This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Deliver support and intervention to high school students at risk to help them achieve their academic objectives and foster growth.

• Adjust and customize the K12 curriculum to meet state content standards and cater to the unique needs of each student.

• Work collaboratively with general education teachers through both individualized and small group sessions.

• Inform parents about effective instructional strategies.

• Execute the RTI instructional framework to enhance student performance.

• Manage data collection and monitor progress at all tiers.

• Utilize data to assist teachers in planning both whole-group and small-group instruction.

• Assist teachers in identifying and grouping students who require additional support.

• Gather and maintain RTI data, including lists of eligible students and intervention plans.

• Act as a daily resource for administrators, school leadership teams, and stakeholders concerning RTI matters.

• Coordinate and oversee Tier 2 interventions with teachers, advisors, counselors, and district staff.

• Provide continuous RTI training and support to school and district personnel.

• Aid teachers in documenting student progress.

• Collaborate with the special education team to facilitate eligibility for special education services.

• Travel for in-person professional development, student assessments, and as required by the school.


⛳️ Requirements

• Michigan Teaching Certification is mandatory.

• Secondary Math certification is essential.

• Candidates must reside in Michigan.

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• An active state teaching license is necessary.

• Must be able to pass a required background check.

• Capability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.

• Ability to maintain a professional home office that is free from distractions during the workday.

• Proficiency in interpreting and producing numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data to inform instructional decisions.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Quick adaptability to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Capability to uphold teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

• Experience working with the specified age group.

• Familiarity with assisting adults and children in using technology.

• Background in teaching in both online and traditional classroom settings.

• Experience with various online learning platforms.
