High School English Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• As a certified High School English Teacher working from your home office in Indiana, you will manage instructional programs virtually.

• You will regularly consult with learning coaches and students to ensure the successful completion of each child's instructional program.

• Timely completion of grading, creation of progress reports, and conducting of parent conferences is essential.

• You will enhance the instructional program through asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.

• Reviewing the curriculum and developing alternative methods for presenting lessons will help increase student understanding.

• Regular communication with parents, students, and fellow teachers is necessary for the development and updating of Personal Learning Plans and schedules.

• Collaborating with other teachers will ensure that all students are progressing successfully through the program.

• You will assist students and parents with alternative strategies and provide additional support for daily assignments and projects.

• Keeping student records and data current, including cumulative files, online family information, attendance tracking, and logging all student and parent interactions is required.

• You will work with other teachers and staff learning specialists to create alternative enrichment activities and modifications to enhance student understanding.

• Participation in the organization and administration of State Testing, as directed, is expected.

• Attendance at field trips and other community activities organized for families is also part of the role.

• Candidates must be highly qualified and certified to teach High School English in Indiana.

• Strong technology skills are essential, particularly with Microsoft OS, MS Office programs, and Google Suite.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

• A customer-focused approach is important.

• A high degree of flexibility is necessary.

• Candidates should demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• A proven track record as a team player is expected.

• Willingness to occasionally travel for marketing and state testing events (may involve overnight travel) is required.

• Ability to work some occasional evening hours as needed to support families is a must.

• Candidates must be able to utilize a personal electronic device and an email address for 2-step authentication.
