High School English Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee instructional programs and collaborate with learning coaches and students.

• Enhance the instructional program through asynchronous web conferencing sessions and live instruction.

• Manage all grading processes, generate progress reports, and hold parent conferences.

• Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and fellow educators.

• Cultivate an understanding of K-12 curriculum, particularly for the grades assigned.

• Assist students and parents by providing alternative strategies and additional support.

• Ensure that student records and data are consistently updated.

• Collaborate with team members to create alternative enrichment activities.

• Establish and uphold a sense of "school community."

• Engage in the organization of State Testing.

• Participate in student recruitment sessions.

• Attend field trips and other community events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a certification to teach High School English in South Carolina (appropriate to grade level responsibilities).

• Residency in South Carolina is required.

• Gifted and Talented Endorsement is highly preferred.

• Proficient technology skills, particularly with MS Office applications and Google Suite.

• Outstanding communication abilities, both verbal and written.

• Highly organized and punctual.

• Customer-focused mindset.

• High level of adaptability.

• Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Track record of being a team player.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for school and state testing events (may include occasional overnight travel).

• Capability to work remotely if required.

• Availability for occasional evening hours, as needed to assist some families.

• Must be able to utilize a personal electronic device and have an email address for two-step authentication.
