High School Chemistry Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee instructional programs via telephone, the Internet, and various curriculum tools.

• Regularly consult with learning coaches and students.

• Complete grading tasks, generate progress reports, and hold parent conferences.

• Enhance instructional programs through asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous teaching.

• Evaluate curriculum and develop alternative methods for lesson presentation.

• Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and teachers.

• Acquire knowledge of the K-12 curriculum and associated courses.

• Assist students and parents by offering alternative strategies.

• Keep student records and data accurately updated.

• Organize regional field trips.

• Engage in student recruitment sessions and other marketing initiatives.

• Attend field trips and community events as assigned.

• Perform other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred: Chemistry Secondary Science or Physical Science License.

• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach High School Chemistry in Ohio, relevant to grade level and content area responsibilities.

• Strong technology skills, particularly with Microsoft OS and MS Office applications.

• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.

• Customer-focused mindset.

• High level of flexibility.

• Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Established track record as a team player.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing and state testing events (may include some overnight travel).

• Capability to work remotely, if necessary.

• Availability for occasional evening hours to support certain families.

• Must possess a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication.
