
High School Agriculture Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Deliver designated course content within an online setting
• Offer instruction, support, and guidance
• Oversee the learning process while prioritizing students’ individual needs
• Track student progress via Stride K12’s learning management system
• Collaborate closely with students and parents/learning coaches to enhance learning towards set goals
• Provide both synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences
• Tailor learning for every student
• Differentiate instruction based on students' mastery levels
• Enrich course content utilizing suitable asynchronous and synchronous tools
• Maintain the grade book while ensuring academic integrity for students
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion
• Notify administrators of any concerns related to student performance and progress
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments
• Build and sustain a positive rapport with families
• Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents promptly
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues
• Travel approximately once a month or 20% of the time for professional development, student assessments, and other school obligations
• Florida 5 Year Professional Agriculture Certificate
• Residency in Florida
• Bachelor’s degree
• Active state teaching license
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Capability to work independently, generally 40+ hours per week
• Ability to maintain a distraction-free professional home office during work hours
• Experience with the proposed age group (preferred)
• Experience assisting adults and children with technology use (preferred)
• Experience teaching in either an online or traditional classroom environment (preferred)
• Familiarity with online learning platforms (preferred)
• Competence in interpreting and generating numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint (preferred)
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms (preferred)
• Capacity to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum (preferred)
