This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Direct and oversee the educational, administrative, and counseling activities for students, either personally or through subordinate supervisors.
• Ensure that educational programs adhere to state and local school board regulations.
• Research and introduce non-K12 curriculum resources that fulfill state standards as required.
• Manage teaching and administrative personnel, including Master and Lead Teachers, alongside various programs.
• Clearly communicate the school’s mission and vision, aligning all stakeholders towards the desired outcomes.
• Utilize communication technologies and practices that support a primarily virtual or remote work setting.
• Consult with teachers, students, and parents regarding educational and behavioral issues.
• Collaborate with teachers and K12 Enrollment on matters of expulsions and withdrawals.
• Ensure the institution meets the needs of students while adhering to local, state, and federal regulations, including those pertaining to special education.
• Develop and supervise the implementation of the school’s Academic Improvement Plan.
• Alabama Educational Leadership Certificate is required.
• Applicants must reside in Alabama.
• A Master's degree in business, education, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years of educational experience is necessary.
• At least one (1) year of supervisory experience is required unless an equivalent combination of education and experience is presented.
• Must be able to pass a required background check.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and time management skills are essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
• Web proficiency is necessary.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time is required.
• Experience as an online or virtual educator is preferred.
• State License as a School Administrator is mandatory.
• Desired: Experience with the proposed age group.
• Desired: Experience assisting adults and children with technology use.
• Desired: Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick-and-mortar setting.
• Desired: Familiarity with online learning platforms is a plus.
