HEOR Asset Scientist – Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic insights and leadership regarding health outcomes evidence needs for Lilly’s portfolio.

• Utilize knowledge of health outcomes disciplines, therapeutic areas, drug development, commercialization, and geographic markets.

• Take ownership of and carry out research projects.

• Develop and communicate product value propositions, patient-reported outcomes strategies, real-world evidence generation, and differentiation strategies.

• Facilitate the sustained integration of HEOR from early clinical development through to commercialization.

• Create and manage the health outcomes research strategy for compounds within Lilly’s portfolio.

• Act as a strategic partner on lead/core teams throughout the development and/or commercialization phases.

• Formulate and implement Patient Focused Outcome, Real World Evidence, and/or economic value strategies for key products and regions.

• Generate high-impact scientific evidence across the product lifecycle to support evidence needs and enhance patient outcomes.

• Utilize technical expertise in statistical analysis, economic modeling, clinical trials, patient-focused outcomes, observational/epidemiologic research, and health technology or value assessment.

• Apply disease-state knowledge and research methods to tackle registration, pricing, reimbursement, and access issues.

• Establish strategic relationships with both internal and external decision-makers.

• Lead health outcomes evidence planning and execution alongside cross-functional teams.

• Persuade business partners and external stakeholders to meet goals and achieve desired outcomes.

• Communicate health outcomes information effectively to internal partners, the scientific community, and customers.

• Oversee dissemination efforts including abstracts, posters, podium presentations, promotional materials, and manuscripts.

• Propel the application of results and deliverables to enhance the impact of health outcomes initiatives.

• Monitor developments in portfolio disease states, health outcomes methodologies, market demands, and environmental factors.

• Ensure projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and scopes by collaborating with cross-functional partners and external collaborators.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate (PhD, MD) with 3-5 years of experience in designing, executing, and delivering outcomes strategies/projects OR PharmD/MS degree with 3-5 years of experience in similar roles.

• Strong comprehension and communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely translate and disseminate complex scientific information.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proven capability to influence and collaborate both within teams and across organizations.

• Understanding of health care systems in at least one region: US, Europe, or Asia.

• Familiarity with health care delivery models and clinical research methodologies.

• Technical and analytical skills in areas such as economic modeling, economic evaluation, cost-effectiveness evaluation, patient-focused outcomes, real-world evidence, burden of disease, epidemiology, statistics, and health care policy.

• Proven track record of driving research agendas to completion and subsequent dissemination.

• Ability to think and act with a global perspective, focusing on customer needs and solution-oriented approaches.

• Preference for candidates based in Indianapolis, with remote work considered.

• Willingness to engage in domestic and international travel as required.
