Healthcare Support, Patient Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Educate patients regarding their financial options.

• Address inquiries from patients and clients.

• Facilitate patient enrollment in charitable aid and financial assistance programs.

• Oversee post-enrollment activities, including claim submissions and medication ordering.

• Verify the accuracy and completeness of patient enrollments.

• Handle escalations and appeals for patient assistance denials.

• Order, receive, and record medication orders.

• Ensure timely medication deliveries to specified pharmacies.

• Deliver outstanding customer service to both patients and clients.

• Provide necessary information to patients for informed financial decisions regarding healthcare.

• Recognize opportunities for enhancing Atlas products and services.

• Demonstrated experience in a high-performance, accountable environment.

• Direct experience in the healthcare sector is essential.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Strong listening and communication abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Proficient in computer usage.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Capacity to provide emotional support and demonstrate empathy.

• Commitment to patient well-being.

• Must pass a standard background check and drug screening.

• Fulfill medical clearance as per health system requirements, including vaccination mandates.

• Remote positions necessitate a distraction-free, HIPAA-compliant office environment where Atlas is represented professionally.

• Internet service must be provided by a cable or fiber provider; DSL, satellite, and wireless broadband are not acceptable.

• Minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps is required.

• Minimum download speed of 5 Mbps is necessary.

• Maintain a stable internet connection; service upgrades or changes may be needed.

• Modem/router must support gigabit-speed wired Ethernet connections.

• At least two Ethernet connections to the internet source are mandatory for the PC and phone.

• Wireless connectivity is not permitted.
