Healthcare Solution Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create clinical coding software solutions, primarily focused on 360 Encompass.

• Provide support for clinician-facing products, next-generation coding capabilities, regional demands, custom development, and advanced integrations.

• Design, develop, test, debug, document, and sustain production-quality software features, components, tools, and workflows.

• Facilitate selected design discussions, code reviews, technical evaluations, and implementation planning.

• Automate component and unit tests while enhancing software performance.

• Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, clinical analysts, implementation engineers, quality engineers, support teams, and other stakeholders.

• Investigate and resolve escalated issues related to applications, interfaces, APIs, healthcare data exchange, data processing, and platform components.

• Document technical behaviors and share insights with colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution and two (2) years of software development experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and six (6) years of software development experience.

• Five (5) years of experience in software development using C#/.NET, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Five (5) years of programming experience in a Microsoft Windows environment.

• Three (3) years of familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7 v2.x, FHIR, APIs, or data exchange workflows, along with troubleshooting issues across applications, integrations, data, or infrastructure components.

• Three (3) years of experience in developing, testing, and maintaining software utilized in a commercial, enterprise, healthcare, or customer-facing solution environment.

• Capability to work independently on designated features or components within a defined technical scope.

• Experience in full-stack web application development, covering backend services, front-end user interfaces, web server configuration, operating system setup, and TypeScript or JavaScript frameworks.

• Proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Visual Studio, Git, Microsoft TFS, and Microsoft Windows operating system internals and APIs.

• Experience with hospital medical record systems or healthcare workflows such as clinical coding, grouping, editing, abstracting, reimbursement, or billing.

• Background in working within an Agile or Scrum development environment.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet established deadlines, and adapt within a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with product, clinical, quality, support, and engineering stakeholders.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
