Healthcare Data Validation, Ingest Specialist – Medical RCM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and supervise the intake of billing documents and patient records received via email, portals, and various other channels.

• Retrieve patient records and billing documents from specified portals.

• Monitor and log incoming files to ensure completeness and accuracy.

• Categorize files based on facility, Date of Service (DOS), and other relevant criteria.

• Organize and uphold an efficient file storage system.

• Import files into the system following established procedures.

• Assign additional records to the correct patient accounts.

• Verify data formatting and address discrepancies prior to ingestion.

• Accurately and promptly process case logs and surgical schedules.

• Attach related documentation to corresponding patient accounts.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve issues with missing or incorrect files.

• Raise concerns to ensure prompt resolutions.

• Keep precise records of imported files and associated activities.

• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and organizational data security protocols.

• Create reports detailing file intake status and data ingestion performance.

• Offer insights aimed at enhancing efficiency and minimizing import errors.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Equivalent professional experience in healthcare revenue cycle or billing may be accepted in place of a degree.

• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in medical billing, charge posting, or healthcare revenue cycle operations.

• Practical experience with batch processing, visit list management, and charge log reviews.

• Knowledge of healthcare systems, electronic health records (EHR), and reporting tools (e.g., concurrency reports, cube data).

• Experience with month-end closing schedules and adhering to strict deadlines.

• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and data integrity standards.

• Capability to read, comprehend, and apply state and federal laws, regulations, and policies.

• Proficient communication skills with a diverse range of personalities and stakeholders.

• Adaptability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Basic proficiency in computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner operations.

• Basic touch 10-key skills.

• Fundamental math skills.

• Awareness and adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication capabilities.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel (including pivot tables), and database software.

• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.
