This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct thorough and unbiased evaluations of the financial status and creditworthiness of potential healthcare borrowers, focusing on medical, dental, and veterinary practices.
• Perform continuous due diligence on current industry and market conditions.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and monitor credit within the healthcare portfolio.
• Facilitate new business development while aligning with the company’s risk appetite.
• Collaborate with Practice Solution Consultants to research potential customers and evaluate their fit with products, loan structures, credit needs, and risk tolerance.
• Prepare initial financial spreads, cash flow analyses, and detailed credit approval memos.
• Provide justifications for credit denials and present credit packages to the Executive Credit Officer.
• Oversee Credit Analysts and manage the input of BRR, covenant setting, RAC peer review, term-sheet evaluation, and analyst assessments.
• Ensure that staff adhere to regulatory and compliance standards and complete necessary training.
• Evaluate incoming credit applications for thoroughness and the quality of risk assessment, credit structure analysis, due diligence, and credit presentation.
• Balance customer risk with interest rate pricing strategies.
• Authorize new credits up to $500M and recommend approval for larger exposures.
• Monitor and manage the portfolio within established guidelines and operational policies.
• Interpret and implement credit and operational risk management strategies, including tracking approval and rejection rates.
• Suggest modifications to credit policies, underwriting templates, peer-review RAC, and operational systems.
• Keep track of past-due accounts and overdraft reports, ensure covenant compliance, and conduct monthly monitoring and annual reviews.
• Assist with default strategies in collaboration with the Executive Credit Officer.
• Lead Credit Analysts in monitoring covenants, delinquencies, annual reviews, and renewals as the team expands.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations as well as bank policies.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in commercial lending or credit risk activities, specifically focused on Practice Finance or healthcare lending.
• Capability to thoroughly identify and mitigate risks.
• Highly advanced credit analysis skills, including the evaluation of personal and corporate financial statements, third-party business valuations, feasibility studies, CRE appraisals, industry and competitive analysis, business plans, and startup projections.
• Strong understanding of value-added credit structuring in a dynamic banking environment.
• Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in the use of personal computers and software applications such as HubSpot, Sageworks, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Primis systems, and underwriting platforms.
• Knowledge of federal regulations pertaining to loan applications from submission to record retention.
• Well-developed written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to fulfill physical requirements, including extended periods of stationary computer work, repetitive hand/arm movements, and verbal and written communication.
